Oh how I love being an Edmonton newborn photographer. Not only do I get to meet so many new and wonderful people, but I get to see friends too. Friends who I may not see every day anymore, but that I love just as much.
In the instance of Steve and Shae, we used to be teachers together! We all worked at the same school and I was there when they first fell for one another. And though I have left the profession, I am over the moon that I get to see them in my new one.
These two are kind, patient, and oh so funny. And when it comes to loving their girls? They are experts.
Among the many things I tell parents to be ready for when it comes to their newborn sessions, loving on their babies (and each other) is one of them. I love to see a dad obsessed with his kids, and a mumma meant to be one. Leading them through their session was natural, and they were *chefs kiss* with the lovin.
I’m gunna be honest, for all these blog posts to “hit” with google, I have to write 300 words. With that, I find myself trying to impart some piece of advice in each one. For this one I think I just wanna touch on your home. These two have a beautiful home. Stylish, beautiful backdrops and lovely light, and that’s awesome. But I want to say that you don’t have to have a designer home for your photos to be beautiful. I have walked into such a wide array of homes over the almost decade I have been doing this and I am here to say: it does not need to be perfect. As long as you are together, feeling good and happy to be together, we can make magic. More importantly, it’s your home. No matter what it looks like, it’s your space, and I am so happy to be your Edmonton newborn photographer working within it.
Thank you for reading and visiting and I hope you enjoy their joy.
