Tekarra Lodge, Jasper Wedding // Angus + Madisen

Tekarra Lodge Wedding, Jasper

Shooting at Tekarra Lodge in Jasper for Angus and Madisen’s wedding was an absolute dream come true. I still can’t believe I was asked to capture the beauty of it all!

Somehow, in the midst of summertime forest fires, we woke to a beautiful blue sky for this local Jasper couple! We were able to visit so many beautiful spots and lookout points for all our photo taking goodness, with the warm weather staying well into the evening for their outdoor Jasper ceremony and reception at Tekarra Lodge.

Seeing as Angus grew up in Jasper, and Madisen spending so much of her time there, these two had big goals for photo locations. I give them full credit for being down to move around and adventure and being equally, if not MORE, excited than me to go to each of these spots!

I will never forget hiking up to Edith Cavell Glacier in over +30C weather (after already climbing up Old Fort Road Point and Lac Beauvert!) and thinking “maybe we should stop for a break” and then looking down at Madisen’s high heels shoes just clicking away in front of me causing me to very quickly pull myself together haha! And we still went to Edge of the World after that…unreal. Unreal day for a wedding at Tekarra Lodge in Jasper.

The magic continued with an outdoor ceremony overlooking the Athabasca River followed by a first dance beFORE the reception to set off festivities. A few emotional speeches, one dinner and only a little champagne later, the party and dancing moved to the roof of Jasper Pizza Placein Jasper to end their perfect day.

Thank you forever to this couple for asking me to capture your incredible day. I am forEVER grateful for your adventurous hearts and deep love for one another.
